I'm not sat sipping Aperol Spritz on a boat in the Med. Or working way past 6 to pay for the things I do not need.
I'm saying stop sitting on that box with your brothers head in it please.
I'm not out to dine with fine wine sipping at my leisure.
I'm shouting my darlings, dinner's ready...dead spiders are not treasure, get them off the table... please just eat the bread.
Because I couldn't do it all. I didn't want to do it all in the end. I wanted them. I didn't want the champagne in the champagne bar, I wanted them to know I was there before it was too late.
I didn't want to work day and night, home too late to make food for their plates.
Because I couldn't do it all, and I didn't hate home, I hated working late. So I blew up the flow, said goodbye to the office fire, let go of what I didn't need, to put my faith in going slow.
Because I Couldn’t Do It All
