A naming ceremony is a beautiful way to celebrate a child’s arrival or space in this world. It is a way to welcome the child, and celebrate a new family identity. Bringing together your family and community to mark this special chapter in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
Unlike a traditional christening, a celebrant-led naming ceremony is entirely bespoke, giving families the freedom to create something that reflects their values, beliefs, and hopes for the future. It can be held at any time and in any space.
As a celebrant, I can help shape a ceremony that includes promises, readings, symbolic rituals, music, and the introduction of guide parents/guardians, who will play an important role in your child’s life as they grow. I can also write a family tribute/poem that you can take forward forever.
Together, we can create a warm, joyful, and memorable occasion that honours your child/ren and the people who will help guide and support them as they grow.
Prices for naming ceremonies are £350. For this you will receive:
Initial telephone call to share ideas and thoughts
Meeting to get to know you and your family
Support and guidance around creating a naming ceremony
Questionnaire sent if needed to wider family and friends, to help build a personal ceremony and liaise with godparents/guide-parents/guardians
Hand written original piece of writing/poem for you child and family
Ceremony and writing printed
Check-ins and writing reviewed prior to the event
50% Deposit required on booking. Full payment to be made 2 weeks prior to naming ceremony taking place.
Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy, but it is a deeply important moment. A funeral or memorial ceremony offers the opportunity to honour a life, share a story, and find a way to say: you were loved, you mattered, and you will always be remembered. In the midst of grief, it can also be an important step in healing.
As a celebrant, I offer person-led funeral and memorial ceremonies that are shaped with care, warmth, and compassion. Whether you would like a quiet and simple farewell, a traditional service, or something more personal and reflective, I will guide you and your loved ones in creating a ceremony that feels right. Together, we can tell their story in a way that captures who they were and what they meant to those around them.
These ceremonies can take place in any location that holds meaning — from crematoriums and gravesides to gardens, family homes, beaches, woodlands, or other special places — and at a time that suits your needs, whether soon after a loss or at a later memorial gathering. The most important thing is creating a meaningful farewell that gives space for remembrance, love, and reflection.
I have significant experience working with trauma and in trauma informed care. I am trained and highly experienced in motivational interviewing, grief coaching and supporting mental health and wellbeing. I have additional training and and lengthy experience working with children experiencing loss, grief and trauma. I am coming from a place of great skill and care, and can support families every step of the way through the hardest times.

Talking and being with a person is important. You may have more questions, or just wish to get the feel that I am the right person to tell yours or your loved ones life story.
I can offer in person meet ups or on the phone or via online google meet up; whatever is the best for yourselves.
Should you wish to take up an offer of service, we will book a lengthier time together, so you can share all of your thoughts and wishes, and I can get to know you and/or your loved ones. As part of all services, and with your wishes and permissions, it is wonderful to speak to those that love you and surround you. I have a form that is sent out for friends and families to share tales and precious memories, to help build a more rounded story of love and life.

Who am I?
Welcome to the part where I share my story with you; I think everyday of how I can be present, feel light and bring sunshine to my own life and those around me. I am kind, I am colourful and I am thoughtful. I laugh a lot, and I believe in kindness above all other values.
I was born on the Isle of Wight, with a brief stint living in London where I trained in Acting for Stage and Media. I found that London did not sooth my soul (although great for food and theatre!) I thrive in nature and by the sea, so soon found my way home to the Island for a calmer way of life.
Towards the end of my acting career, I found a passion in working with people, and trying to make a difference for people and children. I began to focus on writing creative pieces and plays, which led to Theatre in Education. I spent some years working in specialist schools and holding drama workshops for young people and adults with learning disabilities.
Through this work I found myself engaging more intensely with children in need, and then took up the offer of a social work degree, specialising in Child Protection. I worked off Island and commuted. I spent many years within social work, management and then as an Independent Reviewing Officer travelling across the country and a Child Protection Chair. I advocated for children and families, navigated complex teams and environments and delivered training. I met some incredible people, and made a real difference for the children I worked with. However I began to yearn a softer way of life.
I became a mother to two wonderfully high energy children, and realised that a different pace for this phase of life was needed. I wanted to discover joy again, and help others find that too. I want to help shape how happiness is told, and how it is discovered. We can shine love in so many ways.
Sadly I have experienced great loss within my life too, and alongside a deeply personal understanding of grief and the impact of this, I have specific training and extensive professional experience in supporting grief, loss and emotional wellbeing and mental health. I have trained and worked in trauma informed care and specialised in motivational interviewing. I have gained extensive experience in events management and public speaking also.
…I am able to help people to tell their truth, discover what they wish to say, breakdown barriers and find joy.
