A Naming or Welcoming Ceremony is a beautiful way to celebrate a child’s arrival and space in this world. It is a way to welcome your baby, and celebrate a new family identity. Bringing together family and community, to stand in this incredible chapter, in a way that fill you with love and joy.
A celebrant-led Naming Ceremony is entirely bespoke, giving families the freedom to create something that reflects values, beliefs, and hopes for the future. It can be held at any time and in any space.
As a celebrant, I can help shape a ceremony that includes promises, readings, symbolic rituals, music, and the introduction of guide parents/guardians, who will play an important role in your child’s life as they grow. I will also write a family tribute/poem that you can take forward forever.
We create a warm, joyful, and memorable occasion that honours your child/ren and the people who will help guide and support them as they grow.
Prices for naming ceremonies are £350. For this you will receive:
Initial telephone call to share ideas and thoughts - Vibe Check
Meeting to get to know you, your family and child/ren
Support and guidance around creating a naming ceremony
Questionnaire for you, and if okay, to wider family and friends. This is where you fall in love with the life and family you have created,
I will chat with godparents/guide-parents/guardians
Hand written original piece of writing/poem for your child/ren and family
Ceremony and writing printed
Check-ins and writing reviewed prior to the event
50% Deposit required on booking. Full payment to be made 2 weeks prior to naming ceremony taking place.
